Wades shoes stolen!

A pair of NBA superstar Dwyane Wade's specially-made kicks were swiped from his alma mater's trophy case in Oak Lawn.

The shoes -- a pair of red, white and blue leather Converse -- were stolen from a smashed trophy case inside Richards High School on June 17, when police say a homeless man made his way through a side door of the school by way of an ongoing construction project.

Police arrested the man and recovered the shoes after they found him squatting in an abandoned Oak Lawn townhouse Tuesday.

Ryan Dace, 27, was charged with burglary in connection with the theft.

"He's a size 9," Oak Lawn Police Division Chief Mike Kaufmann said. "These things were a size 14 or 15."

Wade, 27, graduated from Richards in 2000 and returns often to host local basketball camps.

The Miami Heat star recently shot a Converse commercial in the school's gym -- named D. Wade Court -- and has provided basketball shoes, uniforms and sweatsuits for the entire Richards hoops program.

Last year, he chartered a plane from Miami to Peoria to watch the Bulldogs win the state championship.

Wade's stolen shoes were brought to Richards after he played on the bronze medal-winning Team USA in the 2004 Summer Olympics, Bulldogs basketball coach John Chappetto said.
